Duskline is an independent web studio based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, building custom websites for small businesses across the UK.
You work directly with the person designing and developing your site from the first conversation through to launch. No account managers, outsourced builds or mass-produced templates.
I also build and operate my own production websites and web products, so performance, maintainability and reliability are considered from the start—not added as an afterthought.
After launch, Duskline can continue to manage hosting, maintenance and smaller updates, or hand everything over if you would rather manage it elsewhere.

FAQ
Small-business website projects start at £695. The Business package is £995, while larger sites start from £1,495 and custom development from £2,500. Exact scope is agreed before work begins, so you know what is included.
Most small-business websites take around 1–3 weeks once all required content has been supplied. Larger or more complex projects take longer. Significant delays in receiving content or feedback may mean the project has to be rescheduled around other booked work.
A 50% deposit secures the project, with the remaining 50% due before launch. Two consolidated revision rounds are included. Further revisions or requests beyond the agreed scope are chargeable. Clients supply final copy, branding and photography unless we agree otherwise.
No. The website build and ongoing care are separate. You can arrange your own hosting after launch, or choose Managed Hosting from £29 per month if you want me to handle deployment, monitoring and technical maintenance.
Care plans cover managed hosting, monitoring and technical maintenance, with defined time for minor content changes on Care and Care+. Unused change time does not roll over. New pages, new features, redesigns and substantial development are quoted separately, and support is not 24/7.
You retain ownership of your domain and third-party business accounts. I can configure or manage them where needed. You are not tied to Duskline hosting; if you move, I will provide the site code and assets covered by the project, and your new provider can take over deployment.
That is absolutely fine. I will quote additional work before starting it. Where a fixed quote is not more appropriate, development outside the agreed scope is charged at £75 per hour.
Every build includes sound technical foundations such as semantic structure, metadata, indexing setup, performance work and appropriate structured data. Ongoing content strategy, link building and guaranteed rankings are not included unless separately scoped.
No. Duskline is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and works with businesses across the UK. Local knowledge is useful, but the project process works just as well remotely.
